REALTIME is on the lookout for a Lead Lighting TD to come in and work closely with our VFX Supervisors and Production team to help develop best in class lighting for our latest Episodic projects.

You will be delivering a wide range of both creative and technical solutions to project requirements, as well as being responsible to champion internal development of our lighting tools and pipeline. You will be responsible for producing high-quality lighting and rendering for complex shots for a variety of Episodic projects that will allow you to really push industry standards!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation and delivery of the lighting and rendering for very complex shots.
• Work alongside the CG and VFX Supervisors to determine the best approach to solving technical challenges and developing the final look.
• Creating lighting setups or amending current setups
• Creating efficient rendering set-ups in order to optimize time spent on the render farm.
• Drive performance to stay on schedule and meet set deadlines while maintaining a high quality level.
• Communicate with Production and other departments regarding schedules and deadlines.
• Lead and mentor other artists within the Episodic team.

MUST HAVE SKILLS & QUALITIES

• A strong portfolio is a must, that shows multiple examples of quality Lighting work within a VFX environment.
• Delivered at least one high end episodic show as a lead.
• Good eye for final scene creation, ability to craft high end examples that would suit top tier productions.
• Exhibit good organisational skills.
• Be motivated, self-disciplined and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Perform well under deadline pressure in a fast paced environment, prioritising different tasks to achieve the project goals.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Houdini and Karma
• Good knowledge of Maya
