REALTIME is on the lookout for an experienced Lead Virtual Production TD!
This is a key role, leveraging the latest in Virtual Production tools and technology across a diverse range of projects in Episodic and Game cinematics. Working closely with both internal technical departments and external production teams, the Lead Virtual Production TD will help design and create virtual production workflows to suit project requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, with space to bring your own ideas and experience and build on Realtime’s existing Virtual Production tools and services. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creative collaboration, and problem-solving skills to ensure the success of virtual production projects.
Designing solutions for a diverse range of projects using Virtual Production tools like Previs, MoCap, Camera Tracking, Green Screen, Virtual Scouting, Live Compositing, VCam shoots, ICVFX and more!
Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks providing innovative solutions to ensure the successful execution of virtual production endeavors.
Work closely with Directors, Cinematographers, and other creative leads to understand the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project.
Working with pipeline and engineering teams to develop project-specific tools and ensure seamless integration between Virtual Production and post-production processes.
Planning and executing tests for potential projects and proof of concept ideas to clients
Working closely with Heads of Departments and pipeline team to support long term plans for pipeline development
Stay abreast of the latest virtual production tools, hardware, and software to optimize workflows and enhance production efficiency.
Proven experience of working on Virtual Production shows, utilising a range of Virtual Production tools
Advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine including world building, sequencer, blueprints, virtual cameras, optimisation, lighting and rendering
Good generalist knowledge/ technical understanding of DCC software like Maya, Houdini, Zbrush etc. and workflows in and out of UE
Good knowledge of practical lighting on-set, and other on-set workflows and hardware
